It was obviously highly disappointing, when, with just a few days to go, our originally scheduled production of Oliver in early January had to be cancelled, due to a large Covid outbreak.
However, not to be outdone, and thanks to the steely determination of Dynamo stalwarts, Wendy, Mary, Graham, Ryan and Holly in particular, we were able to secure an alternative venue at comparatively short notice, here in the lovely setting of St Faith’s Church.
In this respect, all of us at DYT are indebted to the huge generosity of Canon Tom Kennar and all the St Faith’s Community, for allowing us to use the church, in what has been a very difficult couple of years for the Company.
Indeed, our partnership with the church at our Pallant Centre base, continues to grow, and we all feel extremely fortunate that the parish shows such a strong interest in supporting the welfare of our young members.
Mind you, the transition from the wide stage area of the Pallant to the much more confined performance space here at St Faith’s is not without its challenges! Most of the scenes have had to be repositioned, while of course our original scenery has had to be be significantly modified.
But as always, our members, never fail in their enthusiasm and determination to create an evening to remember, and I’m sure that like me, you wish them every success. They really do deserve it!
Thank you for your support.
